It's a great feeling to have a nice family. The parents who care and fulfill everything we need. But what about those children in the Orphanage?
The art of giving, is not always send money to the less fortunate from our accounts. It could be anything as long as its useful for them. The 60 children of Nurul Iman Orphanage have been struggled to have a place in this world by their own effort. Bless Ummi, an elder woman who has take care of them for years. Her passion and dedication to the children, touched our hearts.
The 24 girls of Scream-Team decided to give them a better life. We believe there are many people out there, our friends, colleagues, families, wanna do the same like us. We invited everyone to join, we invited everyone to participate, and we want them to take action immediately.
Sheila (ST 19), the chairman of this social project very optimisted that the contributions collected will be more than we had expected. And that's absolutely true!! from mouth to mouth, from e-mail to e-mail, there were so many positive responses from people. We never thought the fund raising would be so fast and easy. People trusted us to bring cheers for the children, and that is exactly what we had done.
Beside fund raising, a fun activities also hold at the Orphanage on 20th July 2009. The activities were useful programs and it can motivate them to do their best in education and life (Thanks to Bpk. Taufiq for the wise and thoughtful speech) and bring up their creativity to the surface, thanks to Vivi (ST 14) to make this happened. The children had a lot of fun because the crazy Duo MC Inen (ST 01) and Selly (ST 8) had put the activities into attractive moments for the children.
This is the first but not the last of our social activity because there are still plenty children out there are homeless, alone, working under age, need our help. And we are going to help, on our next social project!!
